In ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’, Puck was Hermes adolescence. The 20th Century version is Peter Pan. Peter never grows old. Wendy darns his socks, sews his shadow back on, and lets him fly away when he wants to. Wendy was likely a Virgo. Hermes was the mystic teacher of Abraham and the father of wireless communication. Hermes realized our brains are cell communication hardware while our minds transmit and receive messages. Pundits joke, but having no hope is no laughing matter. We’re feeling impotent, incompetent, and indifferent, and resigned to apathy and acceptance as Uranus transits Taurus again.
People focused on values and questioned materialism. Labor organized, forming unions that went on strike and engaged in sit-downs across the nation. There was strength in solidarity. The USA went off the gold standard. President Roosevelt signed the Social Security Act and defended the Four Essential Freedoms: Freedom of Speech, Freedom of Religion, Freedom from Want, and Freedom from Fear. What happened?
Uranus in Taurus awakened aristocracy, autocracy, and plutocracy. Greed and anti-socialism flourished. Uranus in Taurus brought William Randolph Hurst and Orson Welles, both bulls, who bullied each other over the creation and release of Welles’ movie, ‘Citizen Kane’. Welles smugly, immodestly, and arrogantly modeled the notorious media mogul Charles Foster Kane after Hearst. Despite his abundant natural charm, brilliant portrayal, ground breaking cinematography, and exceptional directing, Welles art was no match for Hearst’s wealth and capacity to influence courts and public opinion. Welles persisted in his righteous defiance of Hearst, while Hearst relentlessly tortured Welles with legalities and bludgeoned him with bad publicity until Welles could no longer afford his principles, rise to his challenges, or control his self-indulgences. Ironically, like Kane, Welles longed for his lost innocence at the end of his life.
‘Less is more’ learned Midas as he yearned for a touch of gold, got it, and transformed his beloved daughter into a cold hunk of metal. His food turned to gold as it touched his lips. How many gilded towers, glitzy gambling casinos, graven images, beauty queens, shark tanks, and celebrity idols do we need? One important lesson of Midas is in having stability, security, good health, meaningful work, and satisfying relationships, and not needing more than that. Healthy humans value what they have, nourish their relationships, choose higher purpose, and feel satisfaction and fulfillment without needing affluence.
Having too much or too little of anything raises our awareness of what truly matters. Black and white, all or nothing, good and evil, love and hate, and rich and poor are opposites of equal value; identical in nature, but different by degree. An old billionaire dying of cancer will gladly trade $ for youth and good health. A famous celebrity with a brain injured child would gratefully scrub public toilets at Grand Central Station to heal her child.
Can a ‘Stable Genius’ destabilize a nervous and fickle public with lies and manipulation? Our political, financial, and religious ideologies, philosophies, and paradigms are partisan! On November 3, will we see our Emperor for who he is or who he wants us to see? In 2021, Pluto will conjunct Saturn and square Mercury, Saturn will square Sun and Uranus, and Neptune will square a Gemini North Node. Our time of reckoning is now because hindsight is 2020. The handwriting is on the wall.
The New York Stock Exchange and Federal Reserve are bulls. Philosophical, ideological, and spiritual paradigms must shift as we approach a ‘Black Tuesday’ worse than ‘29. As transiting Saturn opposes our Stock Exchange’s natal Chiron and squares its natal Moon, transiting Pluto will be squaring natal Jupiter, Uranus will conjunct Venus, and Neptune will oppose Mars! People born 1935 ~ 1942 know and understand unexpected gain and reversal means that we must lose what we have to value what we had. It’s time for a new generation to learn those very same lessons again.
Needing guns is a symptom of a decaying culture. There’s lots of nostalgia and talk of Civil War these days. Resurrection-ism was imposed on the south because the Confederacy lost the war. Donald Trump has given bigots permission to express their hatred. Black and white wages endless war on battlefields of infinite shades of gray. What will we do when Repuglican’t bullies with their laws, fascists and terrorists with semi-automatic weapons of mass-destruction, and evangelical fundamentalists wielding bibles and handguns show up at our doors? Sensible people are afraid of crazy people. I’m not a fan of guns, but protecting family, friends, and humanity is a good idea.
Alchemy is not transforming lead into gold. Alchemy is synchronizing Saturn with the Sun and blending the Sun’s talents, energy, optimism, and initiative with Saturn’s skills, skepticism, master planning, determination, and enduring patience. We need our family, friends, and everyone else to be equal and to live, work, and play in harmony. Clients ask, “How long will I live?” “When will I die?” Everyone dies. Life is about quality, not quantity. I encourage my clients to be responsible for their thoughts and feelings.
Courage, strength, wisdom, and grace embody the four pillars that support good mental, emotional, and physical health. Responsibility, discipline, determination, and devotion are ideas, ideals, and values that help us build sound structures on solid foundations. Spirituality is innate, but godliness is earned by practicing faith, virtue, integrity, loyalty, dignity, nobility, and honesty. Shine your brightest light on your innate talents, abilities, and desires. Be clear in your intentions, decisions, and actions. You too can be an alchemist, your own best friend, and master bull shit detector.

No need to have an Aries sun, moon, ascendant, planets, aspects, or houses to be Arian. No matter what your astrology says, Aries, Sagittarius, and Leo are Intuitive types with rectangular palms and short fingers. Having an Aries sun with Aries hands is very Aries. Aries hands differ from Leo and Sag hands. Leo hands are noticeably harder and stiffer than Aries hands. Sagittarius hands are softer and more flexible. Aries hands have full firm heels of hands (upper Mars under pinkie). Aries bounces back and lands on their feet after obstacles and hardships. Resilient elastic skin embodies a resilient energetic person. Elastic skin quickly springs back to normal when pushed or pulled.
Pink energizes. Red pressurizes. When a plump red puffy bump bulges where a thumb meets a hand (lower Mars), a person is more aggressive than another person with little or no bump. Red hands embody too much energy, anger, passion, and pressure. Healthy Aries have rosy full balls of thumbs (Venus).
Head and life lines are separate at their beginnings on pure types. These individuals need freedom of thought, action, and to be rebellious when necessary. Mars has plenty of initiative, cherishes his independence, must trust his instinct, and always be true to himself. Many Leos have closely intertwined head and life lines at their beginnings. They’re less free than Aries because they’re motivated to act by and for others. Leos like being in charge, but procrastinate at beginnings and endings because they care too much about what others think. They’re easily hurt when criticized or taken for granted and take opinions of others personally, even when they’re not.
As the most courageous and adventurous of all types, Aries is a fierce warrior and inspired risk taker. His passion is contagious and optimism eternal. Never running out of doors to knock on, he doesn’t take rejection personally. He loves sports and is ready to compete with anyone at any time and place. He has an innate need to catalyze new beginnings and new projects. A freedom lover, he detests bureaucrats.

Cardinal types tend to have low set thumbs. No matter what else is happening in a person’s hands, low set thumbs were designed for quests and causes. Invincible warriors, lusty lovers, and gods and goddesses of war are symbolized by an erect cock. Aries is Greek. Mars is Roman. Aries is Spring. E veryone has Aries by degree. Mars is in everyone’s symbolism and psyche. Aspects of all types interact with aspects of all other types. Your dominate archetype’s relationships with other types determines your destiny.
Strong, athletic bodies, dominant chests, and rock hard heads embody an Aries psyche. They’re not called ‘Ram’ for nothing. My best half, Joanna, is an Aries with Venus in Taurus rising. I’m practicing social distancing. It’s a challenging experience for me as I have a basic need to touch, feel, and spend intimate quality time with people. It feels unreal to not be holding a client’s hands, looking into their eyes, and having a meaningful dialogue about their current and major life issues, challenges, responsibilities, and rewards. In the past, I’ve refused to give remote readings, except for long term clients. I never envisioned using Skype and choosing PayPal to communicate with clients. Now I’ve been forced to rethink my choices and decisions.
I discovered palmistry well over forty years ago while I was designing and building custom furniture in a loft in NYC. My client’s wife was a serious professional palmist. She looked at my hands and began to tell me about myself. I was totally mind-blown! My perfect teacher had appeared at the perfect time. I soon became her best student. She taught me that hands are topographical maps of a person’s character in past, present, and future. Anyone can learn to navigate their map and chart their destiny with the right information, instruction, and guidance.
As I was learning to read hands, I also began taking astrology and tarot classes and workshops. I felt inspired by several amazing teachers, and by how easily accessible the information was and how precise interpretations of esoteric sciences and arts can be. Differences between the metaphysical languages quickly became evident. While astrology shows a person’s potentials, hands reveal what a person has actually done, is doing, and is likely to do with their potentials. Valuable information and precious insights are in plain sight at the ends of our arms. There’s no need for accurate birth info, complex calculations, or infinite combinations, permutations, and probabilities.
Astrology is a symbolic language that I use primarily for identifying behavioral patterns, examining life cycles, and understanding timing. Hands are much better for revealing basic character. Tarot is best for getting at hidden issues, like learning about other people, what’s actually happening in a particular situation, and examining what can’t be seen in hands or horoscopes. A seasoned reader can readily see a person’s issues and know how to guide them to change their thinking and behavior. The rest is counseling and doing the work.
Astrology was obscure for thousands of years. In 1968, with no e- social networking to make astrology go ‘viral’, Linda Goodman published “Linda Goodman’s Sun Signs” and popularized astrology. Everyone was suddenly asking, “What’s your sun sign?” Magazines and newspapers everywhere began publishing horoscope columns.
Palmistry is older and more accessible than astrology. As I learned to read hands, I was mind boggled that everyone wasn’t asking, “May I see your hands”? I decided my mission was to popularize palmistry. I’d write a book. I called Linda Goodman’s literary agent to secure an endorsement from him. He told me he wanted nothing to do with anyone or anything esoteric. He didn’t need the money or the hassle. He’d become wealthy by stealthily acquiring e-rights for all the best selling authors and their works before the big paperback publishers realized they had never addressed e-rights in their original publishing contracts.
I self-published HAND BOOK, a paperback, which took a lot of work and time and ended up awakening me to the fact that I was unable to generate public interest in palmistry. I printed books because low-tech esoteric folk asked to see, smell, and feel a ‘real book’. My e-book version is called REAL PALMISTRY. It’s much better than the paperback because it’s less expensive, better quality, full color, and has links to corresponding information. I poured my time, energy, and resources into promoting books and sold less than 5,000 copies.
I remember how my family used to joke about kids from Pittsburgh who left home to find their Guru or better yet, to become a Guru, and then flaunt it. Yet here I was, a serious palmist, trying to share a language with many, that few will ever know or understand, and hoping that people would somehow get it. As a young person, I would not have imagined being on ‘The View’, ‘Martha Stewart Living’, CBS News, Fox’s Good Day NY, cable, and satellite TV. I was surprised at how many people were impressed and excited about my being on TV, but not curious about their own hands. I was interviewed by major magazines and newspapers everywhere and featured in dozens of articles about reading hands to no avail. Perhaps palmistry is destined to remain a gypsy fortunetelling scam in most people’s minds.

complaining. I love my clients and they love me. We
can have
intimacy and
clear boundaries. There
are no
‘me too’ complaints. As
a five-minute hand
reader at special events, I get
to go
right to the gusto and directly

Uranus completed its eighty-four year cycle in the spring of 2011, turbulently returning to Aries to crumble regimes, topple demagogues, ignite cities, and fuel an Arab Spring that would spread across the Mid-East. Devastating earthquakes in Japan forever changed how governments look at nuclear power policies. We’ll forever be dealing with the fallout and consequences. Protesters in Spain set the stage for Occupy Movements in New York and London. Osama Bin Laden was killed. His demise appeared on Twitter before it was officially announced by the Whitehouse. WikiLeaks raised our awareness of government secrets, conspiracies, and everything we should never take for granted!
Irrational interpretations of our second amendment have been adopted by extremist and fundamentalist ideologues. Armies of angry, confused, and frustrated folk with semi-automatic weapons of mass destruction are only a banana peel away from becoming nutcases with guns. The NRA, evangelicals, corrupt politicians, and partisan politics have laid the groundwork for another Civil War as Uranus leaves Aries. The Devil tempts and seduces his disciples to betray our minds, hearts, mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, and planet. Too many emperors are beasts and frogs, clothed in lies and alternative facts that must be seen through a lens of good sense. A catastrophic choice can take many years and many hard lessons before healthy change is implemented.

Uranus’s unpredictability, along with the blood, guts, and gore of war are a scary combo. Neptune in Pisces and Pluto in Capricorn can be noble and highly spiritual, or poisoned by passion, devoured by lust, and consumed by greed, hatred, fear, and terror. We must shift our broken philosophical and spiritual paradigms or be doomed to an eternity of mass post-traumatic stress disorder (MPTSD). The “Big Bang” is a tale of neutrons, plastics recycling, supermarkets, laundromats, homogenized milk, Wonder Bread, Scotch Tape, and the Model T. Why has the human race become a race against bad shit happening? Must we always lose what we have to value what we had?
Personal and Collective Psyche transform as outer planets change signs. Uranus (1919–1928) was the only outer planet to pass through Pisces in the 20th Century. It’s eighty-four year cycle was completed when it transited Pisces from 2003–2011. Uranus partnered with Neptune, ruler of Pisces and god of the seas, to shift religious, social, and cultural paradigms. Symbolic of sudden unexpected change, Uranus destabilized stock markets and caused interest rates to fluctuate. Uranus transited Aries (Mars and Uranus are a volatile combo) from December 2011 to Taurus in April 2019. We all watched fake news become real news. Many folk believed or needed to believe the obvious untruths. White extremists committed domestic terrorism. Over two hundred mass shootings occurred in this country. One in four victims were small children and teens. Similarities between the ideologies and philosophies of 1919 and 2003 are alarming. Plutocrats, politicians, and priests continue to con and exploit us using fear and intimidation. It’s not what you do, but what you can get away with that matters. The ends justify the means! It’s time to look back and see!

Security for airports and seaports was put in the hands of chosen special interest contractors. Public Health Care was sacrificed on the altars of Health Insurance Czars and pharmaceutical companies. Social Security, which had been based in faith, truth, and justice, was almost privatized. Abuse of power, greed, fear, apathy, loss of faith, and giving up control are obstacles and threats to its future good health and well being.
In 1929, loss of faith in government and business infected the human psyche, catalyzing a devastating stock market crash! In 2008, George W Bush taught us what not to do as President: out-of-control federal, domestic, and military spending; government bailouts for financial and auto industries; and unfunded nebulous federal mandates like educational reform that transformed substantial surpluses into huge deficits. Ironically, during the banking and housing debacle, Democrats dominated both the Senate and Congress from 2007~2009.
Love is a moral obligation and ethical responsibility to merge truth and justice. Physical and spiritual wealth is most wisely spent creating a whole, healthy, and natural world for all. Humanity needs guidance from caring leaders who love their families, value their friends, care for others, and nurture Gaia who sustains and nourishes us all.
‘ No Love’ is not ‘Tough Love’. Absolute power corrupts! When you’re lucky and you know it, you need to give back as much as you can. Choose a cause. Make a decision. Take action. Make a real difference in a real world!
Before the great Stock Market Crash, Uranus in Pisces transformed traditional paradigms of thrift and austerity to consumerism and addiction to credit. Two of three Americans had electricity, refrigerators, and washing machines. Spending on recreation tripled. Henry Ford created green and maroon as well as black cars. Mass tastes made and cultivated markets for Rice Krispies, Lender’s Bagels, Mounds Bars, Betty Crocker, Peter Pan Peanut Butter, and many other super marketable products.
Credit and consumerism created an illusion of an easy convenient life. Uranus in Pisces inspired movie audiences to out attend church audiences. Movie houses, chain stores, and radio advertising proliferated. ‘Modern Romance Magazine’ challenged moral codes. Critics believed consumerism was driving Americans into a soulless existence of materialism and conformity.

New laws reduced to a trickle the stream of migrants while congress hindered the flow of immigrants based on quotas of 150,000 new immigrants yearly. Are our religious leaders practicing what they’re preaching?
Shame on us in 2020! As the KKK endorses Donald Trump, we do nothing but talk, blame, and continue scraping for pennies at the bottom of the barrel. If money talks and bullshit walks, Mike Bloomberg should begin spending some of his billions now and get a head start on issues he plans to fix as President. His quest needs not to be about him.

The German Bauhaus School of Architecture’s ‘less is more’ design philosophy influenced architecture and product design on a global scale. Religious culture manipulated school curriculum to cleanse obscenity, promote censorship, and discriminate against race and sexuality in literature and theater.
In 1984, Intelligent Design became the new Creationism. I used to be an industrial designer. In 1969, ‘Intelligent Design’ was about saving materials and money for manufacturers. Waste was not a hassle, except for clean-up and disposal, which were often hastily and carelessly dealt with. I depleted more than my share of our planet’s natural resources for my own benefit in the name of fashion. It was easy to rationalize and compartmentalize my choices and actions by ignoring consequences. That’s when I gave up polluting the planet and became the Guru of Garbage. Land, water, and air are poisoned by award winning design! Few people realize that our planet is smaller than our ability to infect her with humanity’s dis~ease of greed, ignorance, consumption, waste, hate, and fear.
‘Intelligent design’ is not ‘smart design’. Smart designers create useful products and services using sustainable resources, efficient energy production, and fewer pollutants that produce less waste. Remaining waste is recycled or reused in constructive projects that add to nature and humanity. We must shift our paradigms from lying, denying, and hiding, to seeing, understanding, and accepting truth as real. Hate must be transformed into love by letting go of fear. The handwriting is on the wall and the time is now!
‘It’s not what you do, but what you get away with that matters’. Denying science is ‘Unintelligent Design’. One thing Donald Trump has taught us is that common sense is not good sense. As we’re busy interpreting fake news and deciphering deceptive politics, all news is becoming ideologically and philosophically bankrupt.
Pundits make fun of greed, discrimination, prejudice, hate, and a hypocrisy of fools. It’s not funny. Naked Emperors who think they know what’s best for all of us, are weaving warps of ‘no love’ with wefts of ‘tough love’.
Becoming healthier, happier, more loving, and tolerant of ourselves, each other, and our environment is the only mission and mandate that makes good sense. Our chosen leaders must find courage, strength, wisdom, and grace to do what’s best for everyone and everything!

We must learn to focus our attention on harnessing and directing sustainable energy, cultivating values over money, refining communications, upgrading infrastructure, improving transportation, providing healthcare for all, having honest relationships, encouraging creativity, embracing healthy philosophies, practicing bi-partisan politics, having clear purpose, being spiritual, and choosing our personal and collective destinies. Embracing courage, strength, wisdom, and grace leads to the palace of good health and happiness.
Uranus entered Aries in 2011. Greed driven by Wealth and Power fed the Illusion of Self Importance. Huge footprints don’t mean huge hearts. The pathology of power fosters the denial of truth. Futility causes the disillusion of the free will of 99%. Fear and apathy poison the Kool-Aid and too many unsuspecting folk are guzzling it.

Nonsense trumps good sense. Money trumps values. Religion trumps spirituality. Climate denial trumps science. Health insurance companies trump healthcare. HMO’s, pharmaceutical companies, and medical profiteers trump have-nots. Plutocrats trump prisons privatized by politicians, and packed with mostly poor black prisoners. Senators create and enforce laws that require the constant filling of vacancies and attention to profitability. Prison hatcheries spawn fearful frantic followers, fundamentalist ideologies, and fanatical behaviors. Our human race is racing against bad shit happening.
Vampires don’t love us. They suck our blood. Wars are fought by have-nots, whose souls are squandered by HAVES in luxury and waste. Do we really need fear, hate, and terror to learn to love?
How can we protect our planetary health and well being? We send electric cars into space, but can we transform mass travel, build bridges, tunnels, and less walls? How can humanity become more mentally and emotionally stable? How can we renew our topsoil, clean water, fresh air, and energy sources? Healthy intent and right use of free will can make huge differences. As we help ourselves, we need to help others. Conceive the inconceivable.
