John Pierpont Morgan, Sun, Venus, and Pluto in Aries (April 17 1837) formed the banking house of Drexel Morgan & Co., later renamed J.P. Morgan & Co. His father, Junius Spencer Morgan was the powerful financier who loaned $50-million to France during the Franco-Prussian War (1870-71). Aries rules Iron. After purchasing Andrew Carnegie’s steel operation for $400 million, J.P. waved his Magical Martian Wand over raw materials, manufacturing, mass transit, and banking. J.P. was a plutocrat in power.

You don’t have to have an Aries sun to be an Aries type. All intuitive types have rectangular palms and short fingers. Aries types have pink puffy bumps bulging where the thumb meets the hand. Their well-developed percussions (under pinkie) and firm consistent elastic skin, quickly returns to normal when pushed or pulled. Pink skin color energizes. Red pressurizes. Warrior hands are redder. Aries head and life lines separate at their beginning. Wider gaps between head and heart lines represent more independent, freedom loving, and rebellious individuals. Aries are the most courageous and adventurous of all types. They’re natural heroes and inspired risk takers. Their passion is contagious and optimism eternal. They never run out of doors to knock on because they don’t take rejection personally. They’re ready and willing to compete with anyone at any time and place. These autonomous freedom lovers detest bureaucrats and hate criticism. Very low set thumbs were meant to quest for holy grails and champion underdogs. They crusade relentlessly until their objectives are realized. Rising to worthy causes brings a lot of personal satisfaction and fulfillment.

Aries is not a detail person. As an Intuitive type, he’s conceptual. When he gets bogged down in mundane tasks like paperwork or bookkeeping, he gets bored and restless. He’s easily frustrated, so it’s best to stay out of his way if you can’t help him. His most important challenges are being patient, trusting his intuition, setting sensible goals, and building sound structures on solid foundations. Mars rules executives, military leaders, soldiers, policemen, firemen, salesmen, surgeons, barbers, and butchers. He’s a potent archetype if you work with sharp tools and / or are unafraid of blood.

Everyone has Aries in his or her symbolism. Aries is Greek. Ares rules Aries as it rises at the birth of spring. Mars is his Roman version. As an invincible warrior and lusty lover, the Roman god of war is symbolized by an erect penis. Built to match, he has a strong athletic body, dominant chest, and rock hard head. He isn’t called ram for nothing. Joanna, my life partner, is Aries with Venus in Taurus rising. I call her ‘RamBull’. I’m a Gemini. She calls me ‘a piece of work in progress’.

Aries types have amazing resilience and an innate ability to bounce back, always landing on their feet. Their strong sense of inner strength, courage, and persistence make them formidable foes. Aries most important job in most of us is to conquer our procrastination, overcome our inertia, and help us take action. Aries potential physical problems include inflammations, fevers, headaches, and high blood pressure.

Xena and Mulan are anima with dominant animus. Aries types are descendants of heroes like King Theseus of Athens, Jason and the Argonauts, Joan of Arc, Robin Hood, and their popular eastern cousin, Aladdin, orphaned son of the king of thieves, handsome adolescent street rat, a diamond in the rough, destined to become a prince.

Al Gore is an Aries. His rectangular palms and short fingers reveal a link between his persuasive personality and his Aries Sun. Al’s Mars, Saturn, and Pluto are in Leo. He has abundant inspiration and plenty of motivation to transform energy and politics. When charged with a bolt of lightning from his Jupiter in Sagittarius, he can sell just about anything. Aries and Mars rule Energy and War. Sagittarius and Jupiter rule Publicity, Publishing and Politics. Billions of individuals are manipulated and controlled by energy, war, and politics.

Al Gore’s rectangular hand shape, short fingers, and long index finger revitalize his ambition and egocentricity. As a modern version of Jason and the Golden Fleece, Al and his Argonauts bagged the coveted Nobel Peace Prize while opening masses of minds to the hazards of Global Warming. As a conceptual thinker, Al loves the idea part of his process best. His strength is in his ability to see the big picture. He has no time for details because he has no aptitude or patience for them. Al needs to pour his inspiration and passion into the essence of his reasoning. Once he knows what he must do, Al will acquire the facts to make the case for his cause. As a man of great influence and privilege, Al must sagely survey his personal footprint and practice what he preaches.

U.S. ex-Secretary of State, ex-General Colin Powell is a pure Aries with Sun and Mercury in Aries (April 5, 1937). His rectangular palms, short fingers, and widely separated life and headline are the embodiment of King Theseus of Athens. Theseus escorted Jason on his quest for the Golden Fleece. He defeated the dreaded Minotaur (Saddam Hussein, a Taurus) and united the warring Greek factions under his rule. Secretary Powell’s commanding personality persuaded Americans to keep the faith while we invaded Iraq. He believed he could make a real difference, but ended up being goldenly fleeced by the Bush administration. As the Emperor pulled the wool over our eyes, he proudly wore Colin Powell’s noble charisma, flawless credibility, and ethical principles on the front lines of international diplomacy. Colin Powell’s largest battles are yet to come as he approaches the end of his life and wages war between his personal loyalties and his honesty, integrity, and dignity. A true hero, he must cleanse his legacy by shining the blinding light of absolute truth on the many shades of gray in his life.

One very important lesson Mars must learn is that enthusiasm and positive energy won’t make the impossible possible. Kitty chose a creative and very practical life partner. Too bad he was contradictory, had chronic control issues, and wielded his critical nature like a Samurai swordsman. They fought and shared a lot of art and music while raising a highly imaginative kid for eighteen years. Low set curved pinkies reveal how she lasted so long. She won the occasional battle, but always lost the war because she had a compulsive need to make the peace. She pretended her marriage was better than it was by compartmentalizing, analyzing, and rationalizing her feelings and fantasy.

Ancient warrior cultures ritually practiced their lustiest mating rituals from late June to late July to seed future generations of Aries warriors. Aries rules Germany, England, and Japan. Hitler planned an Aryan race. The English expanded their influence by barbarizing and colonizing the globe. Japan was atom bombed during World War II. Japan’s warriors fight battles in commerce, communications, transportation, and electronics. Mars rules raw physical energy, sports, law enforcement, and military.

Largest of energy giants, XX is an Aries with its first trade March 25 1920. A predatory power broker must shift its greedy paradigms and embrace philosophical and spiritual transformation. Our earth’s creative juices were meant to be shared by all. Mom’s blood has enabled us to achieve a very high standard of living by heating our homes, fueling our transportation, and providing us with products that make our lives easier. Unseen lakes and ponds of mom’s magical elixir are plundered from their holy sanctuaries, then wasted in disposable plastic packaging and squandered in gas guzzling vehicles. Why must hundreds of horses gallop under our hoods?

XX sells mom’s alchemy to us while efficiently and profitably pumping it from her natural reservoirs into pipelines and artificial tanks that lead to our financial umbilical cords and personal containers. Our world economy and planetary good health are at stake. XX must be guardian for, not sole owner of mom’s soul. XX must not become XXX.

Our energy needs require prompt consciousness and conscience. The Arab oil embargo of 1973 was supposed to teach us not to take Mom’s precious essences for granted. We must learn to devalue our vanity, curb our wasteful habits, and embrace a sustainable energy conserving culture. From jumbo jets to disposable plastic bags, oil has lubricated our needs and desires and greased the psyches of promoters and politicians who pollute our political process by providing plutocrats with permission to plunder our planet wherever, whenever, however, and forever.

It’s no surprise our most important priority is to protect energy sources. Military is our most voracious energy vampire. Bloody wars are waged and financial fortunes flourish because plutocrats are our real leaders. Their greed and wars torture our souls and the soul of our planet. They guzzle our vital essences as they suck our blood and the blood of our fathers, brothers, and children.

Uranus changes sign every seven years. In Aries, Uranus brought fierce individualism, pioneering spirit, abundant energy, and limitless financial resources to bring concepts to fruition. It was the only outer planet to transit the sign of Aries in the twentieth century (1927 – 1935). Uranus invigorated the collective psyche through revolutionary and technological changes. Uranus completed its eighty-four year cycle in the spring of 2011 as it turbulently returned to Aries to crumble regimes, topple demagogues, ignite cities, and fuel the Arab Spring that spread across the Mid-East. Devastating earthquakes in Japan forever changed how governments look at nuclear power policies. Protestors in Spain set the stage for Occupy Movements in New York and London. Osama Bin Laden was killed. His sighting appeared on Twitter before it was officially announced by the Whitehouse. WikiLeaks raised our consciousness of government secrets and conspiracies.

Mars is the blood, guts, and gore of war where psyches are devoured by passion, lust, and hatred. Uranus and Mars is an explosive combination. Combined with the darkness of Saturn and Pluto, that’s a prescription for MPTSD (mass post-traumatic stress disorder). The “Big Bang” theory has come a long way since the first Neutron was discovered. We must see where supermarkets, laundromats, homogenized milk, Wonder Bread, Scotch tape, plastics, and the Model T have gotten us.
